SUED believes that value based education helps individuals carry out social, moral and democratic obligations, character, citizenship, emotional and spiritual development. It emphasizes responsibility and ethical principles and thus significantly improves decision making abilities of an individual.
Training teachers and learners – SUED supports schools with implementing a Value Based Education Program by training teachers and learners in primary schools.
Reward children with books – We reinforce and appreciate children’s positive behavior (according to the values) by giving a book. We tap from the rich literature and inspiration from the books we issue, books that illustrate role models in society or are autobiographical. We teach to develop a culture of reading, to develop values and skills.
Establish student-book clubs – We mentorship reading and stimulate children to share with others and encourage to rotate books within the club and by extent within the school. This offers a child an opportunity to own a book and to continue educating themselves.
